We’ve got a lot to cover today. The story of the largest rocket to ever be created continues at SpaceX’s Starbase with ship and booster work screaming ahead in preparation for the first static fire and launch. NASA’s CAPSTONE mission which is a lunar pathfinding communications cubesat is set to go on board Rocket Labs Electron. The Space Suit development program finally progresses with 2 companies now awarded the contracts by NASA this week. We have the Space Launch System wet dress rehearsal ready to go, awesome updates on the James Webb Space Telescope’s first targets, and loads more.

These updates are great, keep it up. I won't be happy until we have moon suits that look like Iron Sky.

Had current day NASA experienced an anomaly like the recent pipe rupture and thermal tile damage, it would have resulted in a minimum 8 month delay and generated a 5000 page single spaced report only to have recommended the same changes SpaceX made in 24 hours. This is why private companies will rule the space future.

Thanks Marcus and team from Cape Town! Your updates are the.most professional, factual, holistic and entertaining available, and I've watched quite a few! Keep it up and.good.luck with everything. We're getting to launch attempt time, and that is going to be epic - the biggest step forward in space since the moon landings IMO!

Hey Marcus, I read the "one at a time" quote about booster 7 as meaning testing one "ring" of engines at a time.
Everyday astronauts Q was: "I really can’t wait to see the first SuperHeavy static fire! Question is: will they do all 33 engines at once or just inner ring / outer ring static fires? 🤔"
And Elons answer was "Just one at a time at first"

You’re still young enough to see a lot more amazing advances in space than I will. I was born in 1970, right in the middle of Apollo. I should have grown up with humans walking the moon and Mars as a regular experience. It should have been a real job option to aim for in my teens. But it was all wrapped up before I was three. Really unlucky for us space fan born around that time.

Even if starship has a RUD, 10 cm off the pad, it will still become; "the greatest rocket the world has ever seen...."

I hope I can get a job flipping burgers on the first Lunar McDonald's. Gotta be real gentle when you flip burgers on the Moon. You can accidentally stick a patty to the ceiling! Great job Marcus House !

I wonder how many kiddos know about “The Right Stuff” where Alan Shepard says “Light this candle!”

It would be great if the coolest heli in the Solar System could blow dust off the ground rovers. Thanks for your great work Marcus & Team

I'm kind of surprised they overlooked the expansion joint in the pipe, given how advanced the whole program is.
I suppose it shows just how frantic the pace must be there. Hopefully they don't overlook something else.
