That’s a fabulous library and I didn’t know it was there. I seem to recognise the building but had no idea it was a library. I visited the Baroque library in Prague earlier this year and loved it. Sadly we could only view it from the doorway but I would have loved to have walked right through it. Thanks for sharing.

I love beautiful libraries, and the John Rylands is now at the top of my list! It is a beautiful building and wonderful library! At the beginning of this video, you mention a film in which some scenes were filmed at the Rylands. I couldn't hear which movie, could you clear that up for me? Thank you!!

What a Magnificent building! The dark wood & the detailed carvings are a feast for the Senses! Your hubby conjures up visions of Harry Potter in his glasses & you are full of fun as you top your crown with that towering black chapeau whilst flipping through the marvelous bird journal ~ Thank you for taking us on the tour!

You and I agree about the John Rylands library..magical.The light switches with beatiful grills.Another world.So glad there were no books with teeth like Harry Potter.The staircase vaulted ceiling..incredible.I liked the hand held mirrors so you could look at the ceiling in the main room.Beautiful music you used as scene and mood setting.

This video is beautiful and it still doesn't give justice to the building. I'm lucky enough to be able to study here a couple of times a week in the afternoons.
They have these reading room areas, and for me, there's nothing that's more tranquil and inspiring.

Usually there aren't this many people in here.
