If you walk backwards, it will throw the grass back in the yard instead of towards the house and air unit. You have better control when you’re edging as well. Going backwards. Just watch where you’re going.

I joined a lawn crew one summer and was the designated weed eater guy. The boss man said to just make it look like the lawnmower got everywhere and missed nothing. To weed eat at the same level as the mower cut. I really enjoyed that summer, outside all day getting sun, driving from job to job.

People don't realize you don't have to walk backward to throw stuff away from the house, AC, cars, or flowerbeds. It's about the angle of the weedeater. This guy is doing it perfectly. One pass to thin it out, second to throw it out. When you have a 6-man crew, you can't have everyone walking backward 😂. Follow the direction of the mower. The mower cuts along beds and curbs, so there is no reason to weedeat unless you are worried about 3 out of 10, 000 blades of grass standing 😂 Good work, man. We could use a good weedeater man around here

Your doing better than me 😂, but one thing I learned over time is if I’m going backwards with the string trimmer super close to the wall and I don’t have much string it cuts the grass fast. If anyone has any tips or advice for me please leave them down I’ll take them happily 😊

They should really start making these commercial trimmers go clockwise so you can walk forward with them for a faster / better cut. Walking forward with counter-clockwise smashes the grass against the wall so you have to go back. It's too dangerous and time consuming to walk backwards or you can hold it left handed.

Not sure why the industry doesn't do this.

Nothing like a gas trimmer; I have both gas and electric but the gas delivers more power

Walk opposite direction of which way the shaft spins and you will do less work instead of moving side to side

Good job, gotta hit it twice like he's doing. I do all trim jobs from the right to left for my discarge. Usually get it on first pass, no swinging back and forth. Hate trimming, hate it.
