About the Space Shuttles, I saw a passage of one of the last ones, as it approached ISS... I believe it was Discovery and it was almost half sky distant from the ISS. Amazing stuff.
Now, the water exoplanet... That sounds like a fishing trip to me. I'm in. 😬

I went by car from Montréal to see the second to last flight of Discovery and I had panned 10 days if there was a delay. It flew exactly on time. The rest was just relax on the beach and going back home visiting the coast on the way. I feel lucky. I even saw the boosters being towed back to port.

Space shuttle delay story: I was a graduate student in the US when Hubble launched, and some of my professors were heavily involved. A bunch of us grad students drove to Florida. The launch was delayed. (One of the APUs wasn't working.) It was going to take a week to fix it. Graduate students can't afford to hang out in Florida for a week or more paying for hotel rooms. I ended up seeing Hubble launch on TV, and I've never seen a rocket launch live.

Voyager prompts me to ask the question - are there any missions planned to get a better peek outside our solar system? Voyager wasn't designed for this mission but it's great that it's still doing science. It would be great if there were modern instruments designed to tell us more about the interstellar medium.
