Hello There. Thank you for the video series. Really helpful.

Just need some advise on a migration which i will be working on in few weeks.
We have a Prod as well aa DR environment where the Prod environment is running on a two node IBM hosts with IBM SAN connected as DAS. The DR just has one host and local storage is being used.
We are about to purchase new hardware which will be the Lenovo hyperconverged and the storage will be VSAN.
The esxi environment is version 6.5 as well as the vcenter.
I want to know if i need to need to migrate the vm’s from the existing environment to the new environment do i just upgrade the existing vcenter to 7 and add the new hosts to the existing cluster or build a new vcenter 7 on the new VSAN cluster and do the migration? Can i add the current hosts to the new VSAN environment and do the migration? Quite confused on this.
Also as the DR has just one host and will be replaced as well being local storage and no vcenter how do i migration vm’s to the new environment? Veeam one off backup?

Appreciate if you can provide some suggestions here?
Much appreciated and stay safe. Cheers
