Thanks for explaining that not all Veterans are eligible to use the VA Health Care System. When I tell people that I served for 14 years and not eligible for any kind of Health Care from VA, they really don't understand and they think that all Veterans can use the VA Health Care system. I do have a civilian Dr. and have health problems as I am older .. but probably can't tie it back to my Military service time etc. I pay out of pocket for co pays, procedures, health insurances, medications etc which is alot $ for me.

This is why I tell people to apply right after they get out of service when their income is low. Once your in the VA healthcare system, you are in for life and can make over the income limit in sequent years.

For me, If I go to the VA 1st for care, I have private insurance, they pay the doctor bill then bill the insurance company. I do not have to pay the deductible. Service connected bilateral knee at 20%. The VA still paid for surgery to remove growth on finger, back exams, MRIs. Physical therapy and injection in back.

I am T&P certified. The VA provides me with a caregiver for a limited number of hours, and they provide me transport to my medical appointments. I would like to hire a caregiver and offer room and board and salary, as I have an increased need for more hours, including on weekends and some at night. The VA told me that because I am T&P, and receive the max for that plus my PACT Act income, I am over the income level to receive Aid & Attendance. Can you enlighten me?

For the pension u must be 65 in order to be in the health care you must be honorable discharge

I retired in 2014 with 26 years of service as an Air Force Reserves Medic. I didn't have a huge medical file, however I copied ALL medical and dental records MYSELF.
If I continue to go to VA for appointments regarding GERD, sinuses, and psych, will I possibly be able to link these to Service Connected?

Why does being a Veteran have to be suppressed by economic well-being..so being a Veteran has to be an economic disadvantage to use VA health care? Thanks for explaining
