You should check out Matteo Bertoli, he just shot a new Mercedes commercial on the Bmpcc6k. He gets some of the best Black Magic footage I've seen - interesting seeing an experienced cinematographer using it on high budget projects. Definitely can do any job in the right hands!

What's up man! Just moved to Columbus as well! I have shot with the a7iii for the past few years and have been looking into BMPCC 6k. Also just got a promist 1/8 and loving it! Great vid

The panasonic gf2 has and can be used to make cinematic images. The reason we chase the newer stuff is for options. The bmpcc is an eye opener after using arris and the like. To see something that costs around 5 or 6k punching the same as a 20k up camera is amazing. If you're on a budget, seriously, get a gh4, it's amazing for the options you have and for its incredible image. Otherwise, step up a bit and go the bm. Whatever the case, don't go lazy, go creative.

"If you add an external audio recorder... " "If you add a Ninja 5" One needs to be honest with themselves... You buy the A7SIII for three things... auto-focus, low light, and 120FPS 4K. The cost of those three features are very steep. Is it worth it? Sure, if the type of work you do benefits from it. The Camera is $2200 more than the BMPCC4K... add $300-$400 for an audio recorder and $600 for the Ninja 5. So $3200 for auto focus, low light, and 4k 120. If you have limited funds (as most do) you can have a complete video studio for the cost of the A7SIII body only. If budget is no issue, then sure buy the Sony. Shotwise they both look great... but it was clear as day which was which. I absolutely prefer the image from BMPCC4k/6K... but the Sony footage can be filtered or LUT'd to look less digital.

another great video bro, id love to see both of the cameras on tripods and have many different dynamic range scenes tested with split screen (footage side by side) to see more of a scientific test. And hell yeah id love to see a raw vs slog3 test as I have been very curious about that topic not owning a ninja v. If pro res raw is worth it I may just have to buy a ninja v
