I think you might have a little bias towards the bmpcc6k because you have a bit more experience grading its footage. I own both cams and there's def more dynamic range in the a7siii, you just have to expose properly and mess with the curves, I find that the venice conversion lut is a great starting point and you drop the curve pre lut to deal with over exposure, then grade post lut, and you get crazy clean images (slog3).

It's also a superior cam to fly on a gimbal imo, because the autofocus, but also just balancing it is easier, do to it's less off center lens mounting area.

I think the bmpcc6k takes the cake in audio and true 24fps frame rates, so if you're trying to do something for indie films it makes it easy to screen.

There's definitely a lot these cameras each specialize in.

As far as workflow in post I find the bmpcc6k to be superior, mainly do to braw being such an efficient codec and it's hard to beat internal raw. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the 12G HDR black magic monitor/recorder adds braw support to the a7siii, they just added support for the nikon z6, so there's definitely Hope, and I think that'd fix a lot of gripes.

Couple of things, A7s3 beats b6k in DR, cineD scientific controlled tests showed it. Slow-mo A7s3 has 4k 120 fps in camera and its awesome! lastly B6k is not a $2k camera, to rig for basic shoots u easily need to spend another 1k on it, A7s3 is straight to shoot from box. B6k is a CROPPED camera aka APSC. A7S3 is FULL FRAME camera. FF is always more premium and expensive than cropped cameras. Cool video.

Im between the pocket 4k or the Sony A7III, im a nikon user i make photos too so I think that the A7III its a better option but the braw in the black magic pocket 4k its tempting.

Good comparison. But it is opposite camera : BMPCC6K is a cinema camera, A7SIII is a video camera. For me, sony kills A7SIII for cinema, by noise-reduction. That really sad. Maybe is for sell more FX6.
