Every time I open messenger, it’s always stuck on the spinning load circle. Essentially it won’t even load into the contact list, just on a blank screen with said loading circle. I’m wondering if anyone else is having this issue. This only occurred after the android update.

Highlighted in a comment below - those struggling with the loading glitch, duplicate the app by dragging it from your App Library again. Once you’ve got two copies, it seems to be fixed. I’ve deleted and reinstalled and it now works for me with just one copy!

I am having the same problem on my iPad. I installed the new update and reinstalled messenger. Turned iPad off back on. Still messenger will not load just keep seeing the thinking circle.

I can't really open I tried all if only I can send a pic of it as proof I've logged out my acc cause it was an expire login dunno about that one then I open it again and I was stuck at where messenger logo intro then a loading circle that is where I got stuck can't find any buttons I even put my phone beside the wifi still it did not even work I've been waiting for it to show me where I log in my account but I was waiting like 5 hours now.

Please help. My messenger app messed up so I Uninstaller and reinstalled. It won't open to the login screen. It just has the circle loading symbol. I have restarted device, updated device, Uninstalled app, cleared data, and I'm using mobile data not wifi. Any ideas why it won't load so I can login?

Here is the fix straight from facebook !!! delete messenger AND facebook, restart the device. install messenger and log in THEN install Facebook all fixed!
