I definitely think that people who assume bisexuality is a phase have encountered people who come out as bi then come out again as gay/lesbian. Dealing with comphet is a big part of figuring out sexuality and alot of gay people dont exactly realize theyre not attracted to the opposite gender until they allow themselves to consider otherwise. So for many young gays its a stepping stone, and a misunderstanding of themselves. Just respect what people identify as in the moment!

as a bi woman, the whole "bi girls and their boyfriends" thing was funny at first but quickly became annoying (and eventually hateful) and i'm so over it now. like yeah, of course, there are much fewer hurdles involved in relationships that are not same sex and so statistically you see way more bi people in "straight" relationships. that's just how the numbers happen to work out. that doesnt mean they are actively trying to be straight, or avoiding same sex relationships. it breaks my heart when i see the queer community shun bisexuals in "straight" relationships as if they're not literally judging a person based on the gender of their partner.

I hate that being bisexual is seen as more sexual than other orientations. Being bisexual does not equal more sex or more lust than being gay or straight does. I'm bisexual and people look at me funny when I say I'm not a sexual person. I'm not scandalous or date a lot of people just because "bisexual = more people to sleep with". If I could just date an asexual person and be done with this, that'd be perfect

Things like this is so helpful for people trying to figure themselves out, I have believed for a while that I am bi, but I’ve always had that notion of it having to be 50/50 and this just proves how silly that is, whenever I talk to someone else who is bi about these things I have always felt so much better about it. Happy pride y’all 🌈

the group keyed onto some expressions of patriarchy, misogyny, and transmisogyny in talking about the different between women flirting and men flirting. If women flirt with each other it can be hard to tell because the standard of femininity is compliments. If men flirt with another man there is a chance they will face violence, death, mockery (jokes). To transgress from masculine to feminine is seen subconsciously and consciously as an assault on traditional values, a threat to those structures and violence is a traditional tool to enforce it. This socially trained reaction is so ingrained in our culture it's influenced the current extreme violent pushback and slander against anyone transgressing this boundary from bi men, to drag queens, to trans women. mass shootings, legislation, man in dress jokes, media (ace ventura, crying game, etc x 1000)

My main takeaway from this episode as a bisexual man is that I vibe with Aiden from a temperament perspective, and Tricia is precious and should be protected at all costs, even though I’m 1000% sure she needs no protection
