Revolution Tutorial - Line Weight & Length (quad line stunt kite)

Another in the ongoing series of Kitelife Magazine tutorials for using Revolution quad line kites, this one explaining some of the dynamics to consider in choosing between various line weights (strength) and lengths.

I'm glad I saw this as I did not know that 120' length hint! Thanks. I usually make my own lines because the first kite I bought a line broke first flight and it is cheaper to be able to make them yourself for the kite you want. Also just fun to do and a skill needed for when in the field to help another pilot out.

I have not a year under my belt flying. I had to buy every possible set up possible. I stuck with the 90lb line for all the set ups. I had to feel what it was like to try them all. So I got 13, 14 and 15 in handles and 30, 50, 85 and 120 ft lines. I try to find which combo works for that day.

I wish you would have done the instructional video that is included in the Rev kites. The old 1980's converted vhs is tough to watch.

What type of line is recommended (dacron, spectra... etc) what line weight depending on Kite size?
