Spider Man 3 - Eddie Brock Becomes Venom - 2007 MOVIE CLIP (4K).

Spider-Man 3 is a 2007 American superhero film based on the fictional Marvel Comics character Spider-Man. It was directed by Sam Raimi from a screenplay by Raimi, his older brother Ivan, and Alvin Sargent. It is the third and final film in Raimi's original Spider-Man film trilogy, following Spider-Man (2002) and Spider-Man 2(2004). The film stars Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, James Franco, Thomas Haden Church, Topher Grace, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rosemary Harris, Cliff Robertson, J. K. Simmons and James Cromwell. Following the events of Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker has become a cultural phenomenon as Spider-Man, while Mary Jane Watson continues her Broadway career. Harry Osborn still seeks vengeance for his father's death, and an escaped Flint Marko falls into a particle accelerator and is transformed into a shape-shifting sand manipulator. An extraterrestrial symbiote crashes to Earth and bonds with Peter, influencing his behavior for the worse.

This pose with black suit Spider-Man on the church will forever remain iconic to me, this was the first Spider-Man I ever watched, and even though 13 years later I know it’s flawed I still fucking love this movie.

Imagine the trauma we would've had as kids if Sam Raimi did Carnage.

I love how Dan's Spider-Man theme is breaking through 1:23 - 2:02 - 2:22
like Peter's finally understood what this suit's done to him

What I love about this is that it really feels like an exorcism. The struggle, the demon fighting back and briefly showing itself when it is wounded, the visual effects of how it is peeling off Peter's skin is so haunting, and at the end, Peter is finally free of the demon, but it had actually just chosen another victim, this time possessing him in a much more aggressive manner than it did Peter, seeping and digging into every corner of him to completely take him over and make sure he won't be able to get rid of it like Peter just did. It's really cool, it's haunting. Imagine if we got a Rated R full 3 hour version of this movie and see every last detail of what Sam had cooked up for the Symbiote, I think it would have been fantastic (yeah I know Spider-Man doesn't fit the R rating, it's a colorful superhero that kids look up to, but just imagine what could have been for this movie.)

Said it 100 times before, and I’ll say it 100 times again: criminally underrated movie. If Raimi had full control over it and was allowed a 4th to tie it all up, imagine how fire it would have been.

The new venom had everything down the looks voice but one thing I can say about the old venom is the way it moved without a host it screamed it just seemed much more scarier the new venom is just funny

For the little space Sam Raimi has given to Eddie brock, I find it convincing and more successful than the one in 2018. In the comics Eddie was raised in a catholic family. His mother dies when he is very young, his father then adopts a cold attitude reproaching him for her death. He will seek his father's approval without ever succeeding, pushing him to cheat and the whole narrative arc around his cancer will push him to become Venom. His character is ultra deep at the base.

In this scene..I actually feel there is much more to decode than just what we witness directly on the screen.. on one hand we see Eddie, walking up to the god with a confession of killing Peter Parker which is not quite a normal thing to be asked for in a church..but since it's the god's abode.. his wish is not gone unheard by the god completely even if it's such a devilish thing to be asked for. In the process of making such an 'evil' wish, he himself becomes the 'evil'. At the same place on the other hand Peter's wish of getting rid of the venom is fulfilled too. Peter gets his forgiveness for his past wrong doings as he decides to separate the venom from himself and, Eddie is firstly being punished by becoming the venom himself but also he's being granted with an opportunity to make the wish of killing Peter Parker come true, with him becoming the venom..both Eddie and Peter get their wishes fulfilled, according to their own intent and the motivation behind their confessions made to the god in the same church. That's just some amazing larger picture that this scene tries to convey..kudos to sam raimi!!!😊😊👌🏻🙌🙌
