Another Fun Fact: If you are careful with your portal placements you can softlock the final cutscene. You can get in to the cake room and place the companion cube on the cake, and then with careful moves you can portal back to the level and beat GLaDOS. When the cutscene plays, the cube is on the cake, and when the claw comes down it gets stuck on the cube.

The game is programmed not to run credits unless the claw can put the candle out, which it can't.

fun softlock fact: you can softlock yourself by getting any of glados' cores outside of the room, because the game gets rid of anything outside of the fight to avoid lag.

i am known as the evil robot cleaner at work. i found a 10 hour loop of the radio and listened to it the whole day at work, and my coworker checked my phone for something and was like "yo dude... did you really listen to 7 hours of the portal radio? just like, on loop. not even an extended remix?..." and i was like "yeah of course, it's a banger" and he just looked at me like i told him i genuinely enjoyed listening to a non stop 100 hour nyan cat loop

There is a "softlock" on the level where you get the orange portal gun, where you get into that room with the energy pellet and use both portals in it, but GLaDOS will get rid of the door and play a message.
