Even in portal 1, in chamber 5 (now known as the one after the “smooth jazz” chamber), if you get one of the cubes trapped inside of the door (not very hard to do) glados will use a line from the escape sequence at the end (“You’re not a good person, you know?”) and open the door for you

I actually did this once on accident. I was doing other things and paying little attention to portal and then I got this line.

Wow, she was sound so nice and give us a second chance at 0:29. The test about box and button looks very easy as well. I bet being a test subject or a worker here must be the best career ever and no one want to leave here.

There are two soft locks in the game. The other one is in one of the first test chambers, and also has an Easter egg for it in the original Portal.

Glados is so nice, she had the chance to let you starve to death but she was nice enough to lower the glass. such a wholesome moment 😢

Somehow I did this on the companion cube chamber even though I wasn't trapped, GLaDOS fizzled the cube over and over again so she actually trapped me after saying she trapped me

I remember doing this all the time because it’s good that valve wouldn’t let you softlock the game

You can do the same thing in chamber 5 of the first game. You need to solve the puzzle normally up until the exit door opens. Put the blue portal (you don’t have the duel gun yet) behind the door. Then stack the cubes to get to the platform with the orange portal. Put a cube through the orange portal and move the blue portal. GLaDoS will say “You are a terrible person” and open the door.
