I love how dying advances the story too. The more you die, the more dialogue you unlock with everybody around you so it feels rewarding even if you get slaughtered

One of the most vital parts of Roguelikes is that when you inevitably die, you almost always make some sort of progress, whether it be stat buffs that persist between runs, unlocking more equipment, or better learning a boss' attacks and such.
