Due to my Pentium II system having motherboard failure I have decided to build a new system for my retro games and to learn to program on.

my packard bell's mobo failed, i saved the hdd, cd drive, soundblaster 16, and power supply. I scrapped the case because its proprietary and doesn't fit any other motherboard. I attempted to make my gateway PC a dos/windows gaming pc, but failed, cause i have memory problems in the dos mode. the Windows portion is fine, i can play Quake III Arena, Half-Life, Unreal Tournament, Need For Speed III, etc. but i also want to play Commander Keen, Duke Nukem 3D, Wolfenstein 3d, Epic Pinball, etc. on MS-DOS mode but it shows memory errors. I only get about 230 k conventional memory. not 300 or more.

Frenzy, are you going to use some advanced AGP card like in this video?
Reminds me of a old system I built in a cardboard box:
CPU:Pentium 133 originally, but upgraded to a Pentium 233 MMX
Board:Luckytech P5MVP3 (Rev1.3)
Memory:128MB
HDD:a old 8GB Samsung
Video Card:Gigabyte, funny that it had a composite port so I could have kept the system as a media center xD
OS:varied, but last time I used it it had Windows 95.
Network:NE2000 ISA
Audio:I don't think it had
PSU:i dunno
