BAKLAVA ROLLS
Syrup Ingredients
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 cup water
2 slices lemon
1 1/2 tbsp whole cloves
1/4 cup honey

Baklava ingredients
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup chopped almonds
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup confectioners sugar
1 cup (2 sticks) butter
1/2. Cup vegetable oil
1 (16 oz) package Athena Filo dough

Aww, I love that you are teaching your granddaughter this wonderful Greek tradition. I learned how to make it from my Grandmother. I never tried the rolls before, so I think I will try this way.

I thought I had lost my mind when Yaya said "Ba-KLA-va and Ba-kla-VA", until granddaughter asked, "what's the Greek way to call it?", and "BAK-la-va" was the answer... Phew, I thought I was crazy for a minute! 🇺🇸❤️🇬🇷&🇨🇾! (I see it is spelled μπακλαβάς, but I always heard it pronounced as μπάκλαβα.)
