Tasker - Easy Google Assistant Commands

For those having trouble with new assistant versions (or if you want to keep voice input as your primary input), I found that if you use the "wait(1000),Shift+Tab,Shift+Tab,Shift+Tab,Shift+Tab,Enter,write(...),Enter" command in the Keyboard action it'll work again! Set the "Time Between Inputs" to something like 150.

If the assistant changes again it's just a matter of finding the right amount of "Tab"s or "Shift+Tab"s to use to make it first click the keyboard button on the screen before writing the text.

This totally didn't work for me, but the next thing did!
1. In tasker create a new task.
2. Click +
3. Under App choose Launch App
4. Choose the Assistant app
5. Return to the previous screen
6. Click +
7. Choose Input
8. Choose Keyboard
9. In the input field:
9.1 Choose Enter Text
9.2 Type your Google Assistant command, example: Turn light on
9.2 Choose Go
10 Return to the previous screen
This works for me.

Very nice. In my device this only worked if instead of Enter, I give the command Go, and increase the time between actions to maximum.

As Google assistant feature that allows us to place a routine shortcut on the home screen.
It is possible with Tasker run that shortcut using send intent?

Hi great work! I love everything about the app😁 I have one question, I'm having a problem regarding one specific task. I want to be able to run a task based on a url input. Basically I want to click a link in my main phone which then sends a command to my other phone running tasker and then executes a specific task. Is that possible? For example I have webCore for my smartthings hub, you can create pistons which are the same thing as tasks and every piston has an external url which you can copy in any browser and trigger the piston, is it possible to do this? Dear Joao, I found this video a couple of weeks ago and was extatic. It is exactly what I needed, and I immediately bought Tasker!! However, it seems to be broken now for me... The tasks used to work, but now (even though my preferred input type is keyboard) the same tasks just give me the voice google assistant... Can you help me?

Joao, this is great. I was walking through the city today and I caught this thought: "Tasker is the best smartphone application I have ever seen". And as an advanced user I always have around 300-400 apps on my phones.

Joao, with IFTTT going to be so expensive (only 3 free applets) - I really struggle with this problem: How to do the opposite as in this video? How to run specific Tasker event with Google Assistant voice command? It would really be an awesone thing.

Maybe there is a way to use 1 IFTTT applet that would work as universal Google Assistant> IFTTT>Tasker trigger? What do you think?

Excellent video, in fact it was the only one that gave me a way to do routines with the google assistant, however when I activate the Voice Command inside Tasker he continues to call Google with the voice preference.

Hello, looks like the new update for google assistant doesn't work at all when Tasker is set as the default assistant in device settings. When I open Google Assistant from swipe gesture, it pops up for a moment and auto-closes.

I made this but when I use Voice command is not possible to use keyboard regardless I changed the input mode in Google assistant. I tried changing Voice command to LaunchAssistant() and I get the keyboard but I am not able to write nothing in the textbox. Is any kind of update for this?

Every time the task is run, a window pops up asking if I want to learn about "Secondary App Opened" events in Tasker, and that's it. If I hit No, the window closes and nothing happens. If I hit Yes, a YouTube video of yours about Bixby plays. If I hit Disable, then the next time I run the task nothing gets typed into the Assistant prompt. Can I disable this pointless window? I'm on a Pixel 4a.
