Today's Tesla Tasker video shows you just another way to enhance your Tesla experience. In this video I show you how to setup and use custom voice commands in Google Assistant to control your Tesla.

In this video I demonstrate a simple "Okay Google Reverse Tesla" command that will summon the Tesla back. I show you how to setup Tasker using Auto Voice to send custom commands through Google Assistant to your car.

Just some ideas on how to use this:
- Summon forward / backwards
- Unlock charge port
- unlock / lock doors
- start / stop charge

Here are the apps I used in this video:

Interesting... I'll play around some ideas I might have to make use of this. First one I can think of is "Good Morning Tesla" and have it stop charging, and unlock the charge port if it's currently plugged in, unlock the doors and open the garage door using Homelink for me. I'll use this every morning before heading out.

Mother Frunker, you are the BEST! AMAZING TUTORIAL, PERFECTLY WORKS AS SHOWN IN THE VIDEO :) (Kudos to you)

I am a big fan of Tesla and even bigger fan of Google and Android OS. I was looking out for an option to integrate these both so I could use the voice commands (OK Google) to manage my Tesla. You made it happen before @elonmusk could bring this feature to Tesla Mobile App.

I followed your instructions, Downloaded all app and plug-ins. "Tesla Plug-in for tasker" works like a charm. After the setup now I can use either my phone OR google home device anywhere in my home to manage Tesla. I created multiple useful tasks and configured with "Google Routines".

The best one I have is, In the morning I say "OK Google, Let's go to office". This routine does following:

1. Set temp to 75 degree F
2. Start My Heater and turn the seat heaters on and defrost ON
3. Honks and notifies me that it started heating the car
4. Waits for 5 minutes
5. Triggers the HomeLink to Open my Garage Door and and defrost OFF
6. Unlocks the Tesla Door

7. Sets my office address in navigator so I can see traffic as soon as enter the car
8. Honks 3 times to notify that Car is ready to go to office

I am super impressed with this. Thanks for your tutorial video.

HI, thanks for showing us this, amazing tutorial! Since I'm only able to copy your actions, and not to create a whole new task. I would highly appreciate if you'd make a video on how to open/close trunk using Tasker, Tasker for Tesla(now Bolt) and Autovoice so when I have my hands occupied I could tell Google to preform that action to open trunk.

Love the tutorial... When I try to use the summon task, it said extra permission is required. Any idea? I have tested other task and they worked..

Hi and thx for this awesome video! I also manage to set up this and it works fine with commands like 'lock/unlock' or 'open trunk/frunk'. But it seems that I can't make summon work. The command is triggered for autovoice but seems the tesla-plugin comes to a standstill and just 'freeze' when processing the 'summon function'? I'm in Norway, and don't know if summon have more limitations here? To use we have to press and hold the summon button for it to work in the native Tesla app (forward/reverse)

I probably know the answer to this question already but are you guys having issues with these commands when the car is asleep? Seems like it works fine when I'm actively using the Tesla app but once its asleep, my commands dont work 100%. Any possible resolutions for this?

Have you had any luck creating a voice command that unlocks the door? For some reason, I can't seem to get that one to work. Thanks!

I am trying to have google assistant tell me the range, but can't seem to get it to work. I have a task that says: configuration: get charge state. And a profile with autovoice event to with a command pointed to the task. Am I missing something (do I need %range somewhere in there?) When I try Google assistant, it just says command sent, with no response about range. Thanks so much for your help.

Well, I followed the video to a T and cannot get the frunk to open via voice command. I have AutoVoice installed and connected to google assistant. I have an Assistant Routine added for open hood, where it is set to "ask AutoVoice to open hood" (I also tried "talk to auto voice open hood.") I have a Tasker task called open hood, that is set to the open hood tesla plugin function and when I run it by it self the frunk opens. I have a Tasker Profile set to AutoVoice Recognize, where I selected The Hard Way and added open hood to the command filter and I checked exact command. This profile is linked to the open hood task. When I say "ok google, open hood" the autovoice voice says "Command sent, open hood" and nothing happens. It looks like all the pieces are there, I just can't figure out why it's not working. Any help?
