Most of us probably have/had a knife that started the collection. I was tagged by SergeantSonic to talk about mine. Expanded a little to discuss the transition to where I am today with knives.

The benchmade afck is one of the best knives I have ever had. I used it for work and play for over 20 years. I still keep it in my truck to use if I go someplace and forget to put a knife in my pocket. Thanks for a great video.

Cool to hear Drz's story of the welding job he did on his first knife : )
Great stories with each knife hear & cool to hear at how your "knife journey" has brought you to the style of knife your into. I added a video response that I filmed earlier this year. You may remember it. Fun to reminisce about these old blades.

It is great that you still have all those. It seem most of my knifes from my childhood and early adulthood have found their way out the door one way or another.

That was a fun walk down Memory Lane. I dug the old Spyderco Walker. That blade looked well worn in, flipped a lot in your spare time. It's interesting to see how they've evolved over the years. You can see what direction they've gone in, now that it's 15 or so years later, and what they've turned away from. Man, steels have gotten so much better and more widely available since back then. Thanks for showing, my friend. Hope your weekend starts out great.

my 1st knife was found by my brother & he was kind enough to ask my parents permission to give if to me...I think I was 11... generic Swiss army type...2nd was a case 3blade pocket knife from my dad. Happy to say I have both still! Great vid! Nice to think about all that I have acquired over the years!

Really liked the secondary camera angle, helpful in showing us newbies how to set up the camera on a tripod.

such a great vid brother.
like to hear about other people like myself that suffer with a blade addiction, and how they slid down that slippery slope.

Great Vid. That 2nd camera angle was awesome. My first pocket knife was a Case XX Sod Buster. I have 3 of those knives. They are no longer my EDC but still one of my favs. Have a Merry Christmas.

Thanks for the view from behind the tripod! Always wondered what reviewers were "complaining" about!
