Why I ditched the iPhone 5s for an HTC One (M8) | Pocketnow

You might remember that at the launch of the HTC One M8 I wrote an article titled "I was going to switch my iPhone 5s to an HTC One M8, but.." (/2014/03/26/i-was-going-to-switch-my-iphone-5s-for-an-htc-one-m8-but) and my arguments for avoiding the change were based on the poor camera, its lack of a fingerprint scanner, and the fact that boom sound wasn't everything. Fast forward to today, give me an HTC One M8 for a week and now my iPhone is in a drawer. Since a lot of you asked me why this happened, well watch our video to find out.

The HTC M7 & M8 are the phones I always say an iPhone user should try if they go Android. Others say use a Nexus or a Moto due to basically having more stock Android experience. Problem with that is that neither the Nexus or the Moto are premium built devices like the iPhone. The HTC will give you the premium build but also a highly optimized, feature full Android experience. It offers a multimedia experience like no other smartphone due to its combination of sound, screen, tv and gallery features. It will impress even the hardcore ifan.

I switched to M8 last month.. No regrets for me. Also enjoyed the iPhone experience but you get a whole lot more for your money with the m8

Good call! When iPhone users tell me they wanna switch to Android, the HTC One has ALWAYS been my first response. If they are a bit more techie, I say the Moto X (with a custom build like bamboo) That way they still have the performance and "feel" of a premium device that iPhone users have been accustomed to and make the switch more seamless

I was a previous apple die hard, had the original, the 4s and then the 5s, got the HTC one and gave my 5s away, never looked back.

Htc m8 is a great device and apart from camera it shines in all the departments.

If HTC bring out a 2k version of this device with a better camera then I'm sold, let's be honest tho this along with the G3 S5 Z2 and Find 7 blow the iPhone 5s away, the iPhone 6 looks interesting but that will be eaten alive by the note 4.
