I had the first iPhone. Back when Apple was innovative and iPhone was a miracle of a phone. And a couple of other models after that. This year i went back after years with android phones and especially high end Samsung ones just to see for myself what goes on. After all it has the best benchmarks scores so at least h/w wise i would have been more than ok. It had that sweet dual camera also that i wanted to test.
So after 4 months with 7plus 128gb model i have to say that only 3 words are coming out of my mouth. Bored to death.
Screen? Subpar not even close to my s7 or prior to my s6 edge +. Design? Boring af. Performance? Great and iOS is really good but with the known limitations. I also had at least 1 app crash everyday which really made me think twice about complaining on similar android issues all the time. Things are pretty close now and that's true in terms of OS performance. Camera? I really liked the DoF and the bokeh fx which was created. It was nice having a telephoto lens for a chance in a smartphone. IQ in photos videos was also at high standards. Well in video just ok to be honest. Battery? At first i was amazed but then after some good time with the phone autonomy it started deteriorating. Not that much but using my s8+ now let me tell you it's negligible difference. And i use my phone at full resolution with medium brightness. How about that? So i swear i was bored to death after 3 months. This phone is practically a good enough mediocre phone in terms of features with a highly respectable ecosystem and a status on the market. But sorry i can find what i want and i can do so much more now with my s8+. It's like they are not even comparable. I hope you take this as a real opinion from a user who likes to test before making up his mind. iPhone is so overpriced for what it brings to the game today. And the worst part was that after my last attempt with an iPhone 5 almost nothing ground breaking had happened. Boring and sry but it is what it is. You might like that but i don't. Just my 2 cents.

Great vid! I’m surprised though that you don’t use the Pixel as your main android phone. I’m exactly like you in that I carry an iPhone 7 (plus) as my main phone and an android phone as a secondary. That secondary for me has been the Pixel XL since November. I tried the S8+ for like a month but just couldn’t deal with the lag performance issues! Pixel is the only android phone I have ever used that even gets close to iOS in terms of fluidity! Thoughts?

I've actually had no problems with the speakers in the s8. I didn't notice any flaws and the quality was acceptable

All I hear is hate. I have the s8 and have absolutely no issues. I have no idea what you are talking about when it comes to battery, my battery lasts ALL day with no charging. I wake up at 5am and sleep at 830pm and my phone is at 20% before going to bed.

I switch between my iphone 7 plus and my gs8+ and j agree with everything you said. I do however also find every time I go back to the Samsung I enjoy it more and more. its something that takes a while to grow in you but once you get it set up how you want it and stop fiddling around with settings it really is an amazing phone.

I don't have any problems on my s8 with the speaker. It's not awesome. IPhone has a better speaker. If I want better quality I connect a Bluetooth speaker
