When we bought our house I knew I wanted a new kitchen. The old one was ugly, not very functional and the quality wasn't the best. 12 years later, we still have this kitchen because I prefer pay back the mortgage before we buy a new kitchen. And since our furnace is old I prefer saving the money for a new furnace first, too. When our house is paid of I never want to have debt any more in my life.

I remember not knowing anything about interest rates when my husband and I were first married and bought a house in 2007! After we were underwater on the mortgage, reality sunk in. It was a huge wake up call. Now we are doing great in our 40s. But it was a real slap in the face.

I wish they would come out with a show like this today. I feel like a lot of people with social media nowadays get so trapped into thinking that they need to keep up with everyone else and live a certain lifestyle. We have gotten so out of hand with consumerism and being bombarded with everyone else's seemingly perfect lives that it's forcing millions of dollars of debt.

This is possibly the most beautiful house we've seen on this show. Like we've seen some people who think thought they had good taste. This couple actually does. And yes, $400k in debt sounds bad but their incomes are good. If they can maintain their budget, they can knock down the debt they've racked up after they bought the house very fast.

Lol. We almost bought this house. We had a written offer in and all but I got cold feet. Not because of the work involved, I was looking for a house to fix up but reason I got cold feet was I didn't want to relocate cities.

This house has changed hands a few times. These people bought the house one or two buyers after I had my offering and then it changed hands once or twice after these people.

It sold last year or year before (2021 or 2022) for 1.5 million. Sold within days.

They are one of the sweetest couples. Little lost but so in love and so open to doing better. They really do make one of the top 3 couples of the whole series.
