I'm surprised to see these posts and boards being hand made, I expected this to be a bit more mechanized, but it makes a pleasant change to see people actually making thing's from start to finish, they look like good solid products to, good little film.

I'm starting to make my own posts and gravel boards/bases and I have a few questions. If anyone could help me put I'd be most grateful.
1. What is the best cement to sand to gravel mix ?
2. How long to leave them before trying to remove them from the mould.
3. Should a high strenth cement be used?

Interesting video. What size rebar is that (1/4 inch / 6mm)? Would it not be better to use a single larger 1/2 inch / 12 mm piece?

I am trying to make these (but 6x6 with a flat top, I have a metal mold I made). For some reason they keep crumbling? I am in the US so I'm not sure that the concrete I'm getting is the same, any pointers you can help me with, you look as though you have it down to a science!!

hello do you make 100mm x 100mm slotted round top posts? Can't find them anywhere. Having watched this video i'm wondering if i could make some myself with well oiled plywood forms. Nice video.

Hi we have just started making post at our garden centre but are having problems with airline cracks
Our mix is 1 cement 1 1/2 sand 3 1/2 10 mm gravel
We used to use 1 cement
2 1/2 2 1/2 10 mm gravel
But posts where to sandy

What is the best mix we make slotted and multi hole post
Howling should we leave b4 we sell them
Appreciate any advice

The best way to make concrete fence posts is on a Fleming machine; very fast and much stronger than a post that is wet cast.
