Born an Omen, loved by almost nobody and cast out. And yet was so desperate to be loved that he dragged himself out of the sewers and became the Erdtree's protector, regardless of the fact it had never loved him in return. And because of all that, he became the rightful Lord of Leyndell, and the Last King of the capital. Easily one of the best characters in the whole game, with a cool soundtrack to match.

Never forget that this man threw hands with Radahn and lived to tell the tale.

I have no doubts that in his prime, he was a top tier demigod along with Malenia and Radahn.

Godwyn was normal and lived life as a belived hero. Mohg became a blood worshipper and while he did have followers of nobility, his mind was poisoned by Miquella. But none of them were as selfless as Morgott. Hated by everyone, feared by everyone and yet he has compassion to defend his family's home. He didnt care if he was elden lord, he didnt care about the tarnished he killed and he didnt care about himself, he cared about the people who hated him, the mother who chained him and his father who he wanted to surpass as a champion

_”Have it written upon thy meager grave: Felled by King Morgott, Last of all Kings!”_

-Morgott’s words to a _possibly_ deranged tarnished boi in his underclothes

Canonically the strongest demigod. He is the most agile demigod in the game, being able to somersault across the whole arena. He is a powerful wizard, though he relies on normal combat more than on his magic - opposite of his twin, who is also a powerful wizard but relies more on magic than on melee. He invented his own spells. He is a son of Hoarah Loux AND is an ogre, making him have insane strength. He is not a cripple like Malenia. He beat Radahn with a walking cane during the First Siege of Leyndell, which in turn almost effortlessly beat Malenia in a fight while her soldiers were all poking at his back at the same time. And he does not even wear any sort of protection, he fights wearing ragged robes.

I beat morgott today and the song is represent, Margott is fighting with everything he got to stop the player, and chanting is like their trading blows to till the one who falls.
Morgott who guards the golden tree from all who dares to become elden lord.
Us who started with nothing, but rise up against challenge and ready to fight him one last time.
One shall stand.
One shall fall.

Such an amazing theme for an amazing boss.

I have beaten Morgott and I love his fight so much I leave my co op sign just so I can fight him again.
Of course I also try to let my summoner get in on the action too and draw aggro off them.

Something I think should be obvious, but I rarely see anyone talking about, is the tone in both theme, and this also applies to "Erdtree Knights" :

The latter part of Margit's OST sounds a lot more tune, or rather, feels "more desperate". It's almost like the match is portrayed as a great wall for the player, but as Margit is nearing his end of the HP, he panics and focuses further to prevent you access to Stormveil Castle. In fact, I feel like the entirety of Morgott's theme has this feeling of desperation a lot more. It's like Morgott realized the mere tarnished he got beaten by some days ago is now at the doorstep to the Erdtree, and is afraid of what you'll do, protecting to greater heights.

In the "Erdtree Knights", the same also applies. The first phase presents itself as a grandiose battle between the tiny tarnished and the tree sentinel, yet following the second phase, it's more of the tree sentinel trying to quickly end the Tarnished to set them back.

Thanks for this. I was expecting there would be a mashup but didn't expect it to be so seamless

I love how margit's theme gives you a feeling of
"Hey this is the first boss if you cant pass him you wont be able to beat the rest of the game" and the fact that he isnt the most terrifying boss in the game

He actually isnt that terrifying compared to some of the starting soulsborn bosses
But he is probably the hardest beginning boss in soulsborn history

Idk if that will still be the case with nentindos exclusive soulsborne though
