There is one more boss called malenia, she's pretty easy and can help you with dodge learning

Margit is the biggest noob trap i've ever seen in a souls game, the bonfires point you directly to him, so i imagine many new players would be following the bonfire markers.

Would be helpful if you showed the map locations for every enemy..

Quick tip to easily beat Leonine: there is actually a whip that you can find when you are progressing through the castle. Leonine has a weakness to whips and stops his attacks midway when whipped. hope it helps ;)

After beating tree sentinel, margit was a breeze lol

The biggest tip I can give for Elden Ring is that vigor should take priority when leveling up early on. Weapon damage stats early on are impacted more by smithing stone upgrades than stats like strength and dexterity anyway. Sinking your early levels into anything other than vigor is a recipe for frustration .

A useful tip for beginners: When facing the skeletons or gargoyles in the catacombs make sure you use a weapon that deals "striking" damage. Like a mace, flail or club. This is much more effective than a sword or other sharp weapon.

I would recommend going after the watchdog before the duelist. It's closer to the starting location and its attacks are easier to read and has WAY more punishable attacks.

Over 100 hours I didn't know the statues points to hidden locations 😆

This is probably the best advice on how to beat margit I believe I was level 24 when I stood a chance against him. I used a summon and the item from patches that’s useful to half health him almost immediately

I think I ran past the murk water cave several times but from the top of the cliffs and I finished the dungeon that's a bit further into the canyon but I never met the invader nor had any idea there was a cave there. Thank you!

You should try showing the locations on the map before jumping right into the fight, maybe you’d get more views on this “guide”. Example of why showing dislikes was necessary.

I don’t get why mad pumpkin head isn’t in the list. He is probably on of the easiest bosses and you’ll gain access to sellen so if you’re planning to do some magic you really need to fight him

I’m in love with that freaking game!!! I have like 30+ hours on it and I can’t stop playing it!!!

There’s a lot of explore and customization and armors and sorceries and special talismans and challenges and so on!!!

A masterpiece and definitely a worthy winner of GOTY. This coming for someone that platinum God of War Ragnarok and thought that it was unmatchable until a few hours playing Elder Ring and discover and learned how the game works and started to explore and upgrading.

One of my favorites games of all time for sure!!!

Leonine was one I actually took on first.
I unfortunately died early on in the castle (before meeting the girl's dad as part of her quest), left the area and went to get better equipped, returned and the dad was nowhere to be found. Quest over.
Killed Leonine, though. He was tough, but not as tough as I had expected.

This was my first Souls game and I was a bit intimidated by all the "Bosses are brutal" videos... so I levelled a LOT before I tried Margit, then ended up beating him first try thanks to my wolves who have saved my backside MANY times since then (Mage build since that seemed like a wise choice first pass)... except for dragons... they seem to be afraid of dragons.

He was pretty tough, but as a strength, dex build. It took me 3 tries i was impressed with myself considering this was my first souls game. Not to mention i didnt even know about margrits shackle until after i defeated him lmao

It's worth noting that if you do kill Patches: He drops a +7 spear which is amazing early on!

If you’re struggling on any of these, I highly recommended using summons like the dog one you get right away.
