Volvo service reminder reset (V60 S60 XC60 V70 XC70 S80)

How to reset maintenance service reminder message in Volvos V60, S60, XC60, V70, XC70 and S80 after changing oil & filters and inspecting your car. You don't need to use diagnostic tools or visit garage or car dealer to reset the SRI (service reminder indicator). Follow this DIY tutorial to clear the maintenance message in your Volvo in seconds and for free.

This didn't work for me but I found out why. The trip has to be on T2 (not T1) and you have to release before the i flashes three times.

Thanks. Works for me. I tried couple of times. Finally what I did was: 1. Engine off, door locked, seatbelt on. Set to T2. Key in the slot. Foot away from pedal all the time. 2. Press Start button once, release quickly. Set engine to position I. 3. Press and hold T1/T2, meanwhile press and hold Start button for 2sec. Until all the dash lights on and yellow warning light start to blinking. Release the T1/T2 dial. I tried twice. First time, warning light was blinking. Second time, warning light turned on and disappeared. And the maintenance message disappeared.

I used another video in the past that didn't seem as straightforward as this one, but the other video was very hit and miss with clearing the reminder. I followed this one exactly and it worked first try! Hallelujah! I've been looking at the reminder for a couple of years now on my 2011 S60. Thank you!

swapping out the battery in my friends S60 made the check engine light go off, after a mechanic told me he'd need the car for two days to fix the problem ! anyway i hope this method shown here gets the maintainance light to shut off, thank you mr fix ! and have a great summer all of you shade tree mechanics !
