The Good Doctor is now one of my favorite new shows...as a retried Teacher assistant and taught special needs children and has a nephew with Asperger syndrome I applaud this amazing show

Not a fan of medical shows, that being said, this show is absolutely fantastic and charming.

As someone who’s high-functioning autistic with social problems like Shaun and having a habit of stuttering when speaking to others and getting nervous and flustered during it, I find this showing inspirational as much as it’s entertaining, especially from the mind behind House. Freddie Highmore nails the role as Dr Shaun Murphy and his autistic performance is incredible and genuine, so much so that you could be forgiven for thinking he really is autistic.

The Good Doctor has become my favorite medical drama show, with it and House being the only ones I’ve ever been interested in and setting themselves apart from the others, and I’m excited for season 2 next month.

Plus, imagine a crossover where Shaun and House meet and have to work together on a difficult patient.

I think the best thing about the show is how smoothly it transitions you from hating to loving certain characters.

Shaun’s character is one of the biggest reasons why I've gotten so interested in this show. I was never really interested in House MD because I wasn't too fond of House's character at first. I found Shaun to be a much more interesting and much more likable character overall. Although I have warmed up to Dr. House a little more, Shaun is still my favorite of the two.

Uggh, get really tired of everyone saying "They stole this idea from a Korean show" ALL. THE. TIME. I knew this was based off the Korean show back in the summer when Freddie Highmore got hired because they told us in the press releases. I knew when the show first came out because it was in the press releases. And I know now because, you know what? They say it at the beginning of every frickin' episode. They even have a picture of the US cast holding a picture of the Korean cast on their social media sites. They're not trying to conceal this, people, and it's not like you're letting us in on some big secret. Stop, already.

I myself have Asperger's syndrome, and the reason I love The Good Doctor is that they portray Asperger's better than any other movie or TV show I've ever seen. I find myself relating to Sean a lot.

Ever since my parents introduced me to the Good Doctor, I feel in love with it. The struggles Shawn had to dealt with especially his autism made me feel that too because the feeling was given out throughly. I suggest to all my friends this show.

Edit: I’ve been seeing that there’s a Korean version of this, I saw one episode but I must say I like the American version
