I never understood how these pagans don’t understand that passage in Galatians. It’s simple, becoming a Christian brings you into the body of Christ. It does not destroy who you are. It does not destroy your individuality or your ethnicity. Ultimately it’s a one and many issue.

Jesus has always "been". So, he was before Jew was even a thing. It is one of those aspects that people get caught on surface level stuff and reject the whole thing. It is ignorant pride. Great video as always. You articulate ideas well.

While it's typically a waste of time to give neo-pagans the time of day, I actually think this vid is highly instructive when it comes to dealing with common objections to the faith. Muslims, for example, have presented similar arguments. Great video all around!

In the Christian worldview, the whole notion that the Jews are bad stems from the fact that they rejected the Messiah. So the concept of bad NT Jews presupposes the idea of good OT Jews.

Neo pagans are so cringe, they’re trying to make a patchwork dungeons and dragons Larp religion and they always tout the same parroted lines from people like varg “abrahamic death cult” while their “gods” accepted human sacrifice it’s utterly ridiculous it’s all a larp

Good work David! Keep the refutations coming!

Hey everyone, I am a pagan who is toying with conversion to Orthodox. The only thing I can't get past is where was God before all of this? We have overwhelming evidence for civilizations well before the Christian creation story. Any references would he helpful.

It's kind of ironic that on this very famous picture of him there's an icon on the background.

Man, I used to listen to everything varg said before I had my eyes opened for me.
Ironically, in all his books, and views, he looks the obviously designed nature of the world, yet does not acknowledge its creator. And he basically is no different from new ages and Jordan Peterson because he thinks "the gods" are merely a useful mental notion to help a person become something more than he is (but still die).

What are the main differences between the Protestant and Orthodox views on theology? Most of the stuff you say seems to agree with what Protestants generally say. I mean, I've never heard a Protestant argue that 'the Father damned the Son', or something like that, but I've heard things like that implied many times. So, what are the defining points of departure shared among all Protestants, and why do they matter? For example, why does not following some fairly obscure Maximus the Confessor concept about 'gnomic will' undermine their position? Unless we're all expected to have Theology PhD's I don't see how that could really matter. Thanks

I didn't find the Proverbs passages you quoted in the video.

I have some doubts about Christianity but maybe you can help me.
Why Jews have a completely different view and understanding
of the old testament than Christians?
Jews don't believe in the paranormal or the spiritual outside yhwh: they say that angels (malakhim) are just normal humans with a mission, satan is just an adjective used in tribunals and common situations, lucifer is just a reference to the king of Babylon, Jacob is not wresting an "angel" but a messenger sent from Esau, and so on..
How can we trust the christian version of the book, when the people speaking Hebraic have a totally different understanding of it?
Zarkaar
I feel like this video was made with too big of a focus on Christian teachings which are self-enclosing and not enough on the overarching philosophy that justifies the religion. Also I've found that a lot of the arguments that they make were nowhere to be found, so I'd like to ask you, David, to perhaps make a part 2 in the future and really dive into some of the claims that they make and refute them from a basic philosophical and historical point, not only relying on the Bible. The reason for that being is that when someone thinks that the Bible itself is wrong, it matters very little to them what we say about the meaning of scriptures.
Anyway, some of the arguments that I found to be missing are:
1) Jesus never existed, There's no historical records of Jesus during his time. Many gnostics thought that Jesus was just a metaphor.
2) There were many groups of Christians with vastly different teachings and scriptures. The only reason Orthodoxy is taught today is because we slaughtered everyone who opposed us.
3) Christianity didn't spread through preaching, but through violence and intimidation. Yes, it did spread through the Roman empire through preaching at one point, but after it became the state religion, it spread through the rest of Europe through politics and violence.
4) Christianity borrows heavily from pagan mythology, even in the Old Testament. It's just a religion of the Jews, other people have other gods and we are falling for their scheme by abandoning "our" gods and worshiping their God.
5) By accepting "their" God over "our" gods, we are effectively cucking ourselves, celebrating their heroes (David, Moses etc.) and forgetting ours. The only way we can say that Jews today are evil is by accepting the fact that they were good in the OT and praising their leaders and heroes.
6) Christianity is a trojan horse which many rabbis will admit to today, it was always meant to be a religion for the goyim so that they would submit to the Jews when their real Messiah comes (the antichrist)
You sort of covered some of these but not the fullest extent and I'd like to hear your answers and opinions as I've sometimes struggled to answer some of these. Also, something that I myself am sort of struggling with is the fact that the Bible never says that God created the heavens, nor the angels. I know that the Church's position has always been that that is true, but what is that based upon?
I'd appreciate it if you made a video answering some or all of these in the future, thanks and God bless.

What attracts me to the alt Christian movements is that some Bible passages seem to contradict grace, and you can find them in the New Testament. Acts 2:38 is a false gospel. And then there is Ancient Israel Only.
jasonc
This proves Jesus Christ was not a Jew the Bible also states clearly what the Jews were.

Had to stop at 2:20. GOD is most certainly NOT a person. He is immaterial.
