Wow! Love the clarity of the video. It’s perhaps the best guide I have seen of anything. I especially love the details about getting things to run smoothly. The Command button to automatically boot from the disk was particularly helpful.

This worked flawlessly installing Sonoma on my 2011 27" iMac, model 12, 2. Thank you very much.

Crystal clear explanation. Great job. The best video ever seen, beyond a reasonable doubt.

Great job and many thanks. I began developing an iPhone app and ran into a wall with my 2015 mac box. I jumped into the project without checking to see if my old iOS was compatible with new iOS. thanks again

I bought a Macbook Pro late 2011, put in new battery, ssd and 16 gb ram. Tried to install the latest supported OS and ended up with Yosemite. I had to install Google Chrome to be able to download OCLP. Then I started to download Sonoma, but I had to have High Sierra, so a bit of Catch 22. Therefore I turned to Ventura which downloaded just fine, and I started to install. I came to the minute 8 of your video, and the computer started it got stuck on "less than. one minute left"....tried to restart and install all over again, with the same result. I waited almost an hour for that "single minute".... Now I will turn to Linux. But your video is very good and informative! It´s just my (un)luck. 🇺🇸🇸🇪

Jesus christ, the explanation is thorough.
I'll give it a try on High Sierra.

Excellent presentation! Congratulations.
Question: How you created such a video of a few MBs, only with graphics?

I noticed that when putting the openpatcher on the hd, that there wasn't any roots to download from it. Is that normal for a mid 2017 iMac?

I also noticed assets package for the openpatcher. What is that for and what I need something for this as well?

Also for the hd partitioning, all I'm getting is a apis, extended journaled to others for formatting. What needs to be chosen when partitioning the hd? I'd assume extended journaled?

The Apple App Store is broken in OpenCore Sonoma. Is this to be expected?

who knows the answer?
I installed OSMonterey 12.7.1 on my old non-supporting iMac 2008 24" 4 RAM via OPEN-CORE PATCHER.
Everything works great, even better than on OS Catalina.
I received a notification from APPLE that I can install a newer version of Monterey 12.7.6.
Is it possible to update the system via APPLE from 12.7.1 to 12.7.6 or is it better not to risk it, since the system installed now is kind of illegal!?

After updating sonoma, the app store will show the latest update. Is it ok to update it normally?

I tried with my old iMac 27" with Intelchip according to the YouTube video. The USB stick was installed accordingly opencore and an EFI partition was created. After booting, the macOS installation screen (program) to install macOS Sonoma not. EFI boot process hangs up. The operating system from which Sonoma should be installed is macOS Catalina.

My iMac: 14.2, (27", late 2013), NVIDIA GTX 780M 4 GB

Opencore version 1.5.0

I did the install on a 5, 1 macbook pro and it will not consistently boot when tell the system to restart. I get the circle with a slash icon. If I do complete power off and then power on the boot process works the majority of the time. With the behavior doing a restart from the apple or running and automated restart every 24 hours I cannot use this machine unattended. How can I fix opencore 1.5 to consistently reboot?
