A common misinterpretation seems to be that a certain variant needs to come from a pre-existing source. A virus variant basically just means a gene or two in the virus's DNA has changed, and that can happen completely at random each time a virus reproduces. Every new case is one more chance for the virus to mutate and evolve. Just because your area has no delta variant today is no guarantee it will not appear, especially if local community transmission is left unchecked.

Yup 4 to 6 weeks for the surge, and 5 - 6 weeks to get fully vaccinated. It's still worth doing, because we have no idea how bad the epsilon variant is going to be.

Um, KN95 does NOT mean an N95 for kids. KN95 is the Chinese respirator standard roughly equivalent to the US N95 standard. Why can't you buy N95s? Because the US sucks at manufacturing, that's why.
