Grew up near the dingess tunnel. Rode through it twice a week for most of my childhood. They made the tunnel "prettier". I miss the old tunnel, when it was terrifying.

Yeah, you left out a bunch of information on Weston...and Moundsville... and Lake Shawnee... I've been to all the places mentioned...but one haunted place you left out was in Kenova, where the Marshall plane crashed into the hillside in the rain missing the runway...the ground shook and had Ohio and Kentucky to help for fire and to identify the dead...I remember it well...❤️😔

The Town of Bramwell, located in Mercer County, and not too far from Lake Shawnee, was once a place inhabited by millionaire coal barons. They built lavish homes and there are plenty of ghostly tales to go with them. The town even has a ghost tour on Halloween.

The West Virginia Penitentiary sit across the street from an ancient Native America Burial Mound. When building the Penitentiary, they found remains while digging the foundation on the building. As matter of fact that there were many smaller mounds across the town that were removed to build the town. Basically the whole town of Moundsville is haunted in one way or another.

My ppl come from Grafton and the last time I was there in 1988 the streets were still cobblestone. Now there paved. It takes away the charm of the town. So sad

North Bend State Park is located in Ritchie County, WV near Harrisville. My grandfather was a founding member of the International Sports Jamboree for the Handicapped where handicapped kids from all around would go and compete in various sports games. The camp we'd stay at every summer when that was taking place was just a small trail walk from Tunnel 19. I've walked through a few times. Great scenery albeit a bit eerie.
