2024 Toyota Supra 3.0 6MT (45th Anniversary) // Full Review

There aren't many changes to the 2024 Toyota Supra (mk V), but it didn't really need many. The 3.0 Premium gains a 45th Anniversary package with decals, a wing, uniquely painted calipers, black wheels, and orange strut towers. You can now option the hazelnut interior that was previously part of the A91-MT special edition (though not on the 45th Anniversary). You still get a great 3.0L B58 inline six-cylinder with a twin-scroll turbo. That pumps out 382 horsepower and 368 lb-ft, at least on paper. In reality, it's much more. Power goes through the rear wheels (RWD) with the help of a limited-slip differential, and your transmission choices are still an excellent ZF 8-speed auto or a 6-speed manual that's been buttoned up as compared to the one in its sister car, the BMW Z4. Both transmission options remain available on the 45th Anniversary Edition.

Appreciate you covering this! I’ve watched every Supra video on YouTube to the point that I started creating Supra content to fill the void so this is refreshing! Much appreciated

I ordered a 45th a few months ago as a premium MT
I can’t wait
Plus I had 23’ Supra GR MT premium
& 22’ GR86 premium MT
And just arrived my 08’ fairlady Z ( 370 right hand drive 6 speed )
All great cars no complaints from me 😀

You can set auto rev match to a shortcut on the "radio", just highlight it in the menu and hold on of the 1-8 buttons ;-)

So I know I purchased my 45th anniversary edition 6-speed back in November I bought it in absolute white because all of my vehicles are white. Now I know you are saying about comparing this car to other cars. I actually sold my 981 Cayman GT4 to purchase this car. It is always been my dream car to own a supra. Little did I know how much money I would still have floating around I ended up purchasing a right hand drive 6-speed szr Mark 4 Supra from japan. That arrived in april. Now I'm always torn which Supra to drive. The Mark 4, or the mark 5. And coming this winter will be a 500 wheel horsepower build on that Mark 4 Supra. I've already been obtaining the parts over the last few weeks and will continue to get more and more parts so that I can get this mark4 build done over the winter. As far as the mark 5 goes, the only thing I did to it was an awe touring exhaust system I love the way it sounds which is perfect. And of course I did my normal usual paint protection film, window tint, and ceramic coat of everything. It's Always a lot of work to do those few things but it saves on the car long term

I love the low-key subtle spoiler. What is it called? where can i get it? My 2025 supra is coming in after it has been built and want to put one of those on.

You were probably in sport mode 100% of the time, like most of us (I have a manual Mikan also), and I find the sport steering mode a little numb like you said, so I keep steering in comfort mode, and suspension and engine in sport. Makes the car feel much more nimble, almost like a Miata or 86.
You mentioned an update for 2024 from 2023 in the dif and traction control - do you know what specifically changed? I find the power available with VSC disabled to be significantly more than with traction control on, or even in Traction mode.

The auto in the updated version is spectacular. Normally, going with the manual is a no-brainer. My daily is a Rolla Hatch 6MT, which is vastly superior to the CVT. Luckily, I'm too poor to actually run into this Supra buyer problem. 😂

The mican blast color looks like the old Corvette red (orange/red)

So, would I be getting a BMW or a Toyota? 😬

If only it had a manual e brake. Idk how people drift these properly without it.

I just don't get why in europe we don't get manual version and in america they do, paradox

Auto start stop should not be on a manual transmission vehicle. I don't want any silly technology like that. On a sports car.

Too bad bmw killing the z4 soon, the supra's fate unfortunately depends on that.

Shouldn’t cost $10k more for nothing really special

this car is a hard sell when the C8 exists. really hard sell. especially since it's just a BMW with fake air vents, i dont really know the actual numbers but i doubt this is selling much, I literally can't find more than two in stock in 100 mile radius in a very large city in the states and I have seen literally zero in the wild. I mean the Nissan Z is a better car performance wise and it's significantly cheaper than this and that isn't selling either, you can get the C8 for only a couple of grand over this and probably get much better financing and incentives.
