Update: Its now September 23, 2023. FTC failed to get the preliminary injunction and Sony signed a 10 year deal for COD. Microsoft later updated the terms of the acquisition to address the CMA's concerns and now the CMA has preliminary approved it. FTC still discussing things but can't block it, so the acquisition will likely complete before the October 18 deadline. COD gamers in the UK can now rest easy knowing that the CMA didn't scew things up for them.
