How Many Keywords Do You Need to START an Amazon Affiliate Site?

Curious about how many keywords you need to START an Amazon Affiliate Site? You're in the right place!

Starting out a niche site can seem like a really complicated thing. ESPECIALLY when it comes to choosing keywords.

Many people are under the impression that you need HUNDREDS of keywords in order to start a niche site and be successful.

But to be honest, I don't think that's true at all.

If anything the overwhelm of having so many keywords can take away your energy from other tasks you can do for your niche site.

So even though many sites recommend you need those hundreds of keywords, I'd say you only need about TWENTY keywords with 50% informational content and 50% affiliate reviews.

So you don't need tons of keywords and tons of content to make good money.

The only thing you need to start off with is keywords that you can rank for to attract visitors who will buy from your links.

Hi Doug, I like your videos and try to implement what you are taught here. In 2 months I made 4 niche websites using fresh domains and 1 website using an aged domain. For the 4 websites, I am using PLR articles and rephrasing them, about 10 articles for each website, I have done this because I need to make the website up and running quickly, but later I sure will use KGR formula. For the 1 aged domain I use your KGR formula with no PLR articles at all, it contains 4 articles so far. I hope I can consistently focus on this project and will try to let you know the progress each month. I am from a non-English country hopefully you understand what I am saying, I wrote this with the help of Grammarly LoL.

Doug, I came across this keyword "good snacks for keto diet" vol=110 AIT=6. Sounds like a winner but the keyword "keto snacks" vol=49, 500AIT=19, 900. Both SERPs have the same pages just in a different order. So wouldn't my competition really be the 19, 900 sites going after "keto snacks" and not just 6? Would you write a post for this keyword?

Hi, Nice to see your all informational videos, and start implementing your KGR strategy. 1 question want to ask regarding content for KGR keywords that is if I search a keyword, let suppose "how to set up your new building" is KGR keyword then where to use it in the post? means should we have to use it complete "how to building" in permalink or only we will make it our content title?

I think you need to go for a keyword that has very little search results like under 150. Then add great content, do this for 20-30 keywords which will provide some traffic and you'll gain confidence when you see your posts on page one of Google for those keywords. Then slowly go after bigger searches, maybe 300-400 searches. I wouldn't consider going after competitive keywords in the first year even if your article is​ amazing, Google just won't give you any authority because you're new.

Hey Doug, I'm not sure if you noticed the individual keyword volume shown at the Google bar with Keywords Everywhere is different from the 'bulk upload' search volume in Keywords Everywhere? I think it's a global vs local issue even when I've set it to US. That makes the KGR different!
