Roof leaking, or condensation?

Got called to investigate a roof leak, but the roof was unsafe to get on due to snow and ice on the backside. The home owner let me in and showed me where the leak was. It was in the bathroom just above a shower fan. When the temperatures are right, it can cause condensation to run back down, giving the appearance of a roof leak. Regular uninsulated ducked lines have a dramatic temperature change causing the condensation. A good solution to eliminating the problem is to use an insulated ducked line.

I learned about that the hard way! Now I have an Insulated duct connected to an outside vent!
