I understand a lot of people are disappointed in the spec sheet of this phone but trust me the specs on this phone are so integrated you can hardly tell. I tip my hat to Huawei for making such an affordable device for under 300.00. I have had the LG G2, Galaxy 4, Galaxy S5, and the iPhone 5s as my daily driver for years and the ascend mate 2 holds its own against them just fine. The only difference is the price point. The battery is phenomenal. The display is gorgeous (remember integration) and its fast and snappy. As far as I'm concerned shame on the others who haven't done this sooner.

I got this a month ago (Apr 2016) updated to Android 5.1 for only $60 on Craiglist. Even with it being a little older now, you can't beat that. It works great with Cricket wireless. During a service call they asked me what kind of phone I had, when I told them, they were like "huh?" (ha ha)

Can someone tell me why the fuck other manufacturers couldn't figure this out??? It's PISS EASY. People want a phone that doesn't die in 4 hours of usage!

I just ordered one last night. This is a great deal! No shipping or tax charge! Can't beat that! People say "Just spend $50 more for a Nexus 5" Uhh no, it's more like $100 more after taxes and shipping.

I have had my Huawei Ascend Mate 2 for 2 months now and I absolutely love it!  I have a 64gig card in it and I can honestly say I don't miss my Iphone 5s.  The screen size and battery life are just amazing.  I would buy this same exact phone again! At $299.00, no more contracts for me!!

Finally Chinese made a strong comeback.  This is the price and feature average people want.  I cannot tell why a new phone can cost us more than $700, it is just insane. Of course, the brand owner eat most of the profit and make you pay like hell.  Battery longevity is a top feature I want, Apple never listen and just produce the same hardware for past many years. They have pride and  never improve, what a shame!  I would buy mate2 as soon as it is available in Canada.

Maybe use it like a secondary device. Use this while on wifi to let your primary device rest.

This is a much better deal than the Galaxy Mega, hands down!
