Huawei Ascend Mate 2 Review

Big phones are giving smartphone companies some banging business, as many consumers have ceremoniously adopted the notion of owning these gargantuan sized things. Huawei entered the foray last year with its Ascend Mate, but this year's successor brings forth wide 4G LTE connectivity support -- to make it compatible with more LTE networks around the world. Naturally, other hardware improvements are in tow with this phablet, but will they be enough to stand tall in a crowded class?...

Picked up one of these from Amazon. I'm actually pretty impressed with performance. Despite the Snapdragon 400, it runs better than many of the recent Galaxy devices I have used. It's definitely worth the $300, especially if you want a battery you can't kill in a day. I would recommend the black model, though. The one John reviewed has a glossy, slick back. The black one has a textured back that gives better grip.

I have had this phone for about 5 months and after rooting and customizing it with exposed and custom launcher I did some performance tweets with build prop and it is faster than when I first got it I like this phone a lot

I honestly find it weird that you equate plastic with "cheap" plastic phones can be extremely durable... and isn't it a good thing for mid to long term use items like phones are made of plastic, as opposed to single or limited use items, like soda bottles?

I really want this phone but 4g doesnt work in Holland, its available but we have other bands.
So they dont sell thr mate 2 here.
But can i use it with any 3g network?
And can i change the theme of the mate 2 to the theme of de honor x1/ honor 6/3x/3c? Cause i realllly like that theme

Why not they just use a snapdragon 600, its better than a 400 and has a similar cock speed.
