When I first learned this trick, I really felt like it was a "game changer" in getting consistent accurate results. You could consistently take off the exact same amount until you got the right fit.

I've known that saw blade trick for years but I don't always remember to use it. Thanks for the reminder.

I always used the push into the blade prior to cutting but your tip is much better. Learned something new, thanks!

My Dad once showed me this trick but his version was to leave the blade down and trim the piece while bringing the blade up when it's running. Thanks Jon for the videos.

Great tip! I knew--intellectually--that the cutting teeth (on a saw blade) were very slightly "proud" of the body of the blade, but never thought to take advantage of this fact. Interesting!
