This is a normal doublestroke drumroll as he said btw. Reminds me of when I learned the quads by sound in 8th grade. My director showed me on snare how to do doubles and I couldn't for shit. Now I teach nothing under trips lol. Then I couldn't ever do less than 4 at a time when traditionally learning quads, I could only match the sound or create them. But it happened naturally and expanded my ability. To newcoming drummers, stick with it! You can do great things on all of them

I quit playing quads for a while and started playing snare and each time I would like play a non existing drum and ppl would be like "wtf is he doing" then I got the hang of of and learned how to play good

I have tried playing with the German grip yet my right hand is the one being bent even down it’s my dominant hand while my left hand which is my weak hand is the one held in a normal grip position.

I’m in a high school drum line, but only a freshman, so take my advice with a grain of salt, but at the diddles at the end of the exercise, they need a bit more space between them, I understand that he was only using his fingers, but I would advise to use a bit more arm on your double strokes. With that being said, nothing but respect for you man, thank you for teaching people this exercise😄

Hey I have a question, when I drum my right hand doubles are good and fast but on my left hand they’re much slower and less controlled, do you have anyway to fix that
