Afternoon Noise: No Apologies is a deep dive into the harmonics and feedback of life’s noise. Sometimes things just have to be loud, energized, fractured, and harsh, to get at the essence of what’s happening within and without, and celebrate the distorted beauty of everyday.
It is music for those who are starving for an intensity of experience that matches their own. It is music for those who are ready to completely immerse and surrender to the most arduous moments of sound, that move the blood, clean the molecules, and fine tune the system, enabling us, once again, to handle the extremes of energy that make up our world.
The show started on April 22, 2020 to share in processing the crazy emotions and energy caused by the COVID shutdown. Most of the shows have been solo saxophone, flute, and electronics - but a few feature my group, Rim, when conditions have permitted.
Not for the timid.
