How to Take Apart & Reassemble ANY 3x3 Cube (v3)

My basic tutorial for the disassembly and assembly of practically any 3x3 Rubik's cube puzzle.

Just a quick note about the Rubik's "speed cube." There are in fact versions that exist that have screws and allow adjusting the tensions. You will know because there are two little grooves in the center caps that allow you to pry them off. However, the version I showed is far more common, and only has rivets underneath (they look like screws, but aren't).

You’re a lifesaver my dude. We have a Rubik’s cube at work that I couldn’t solve because somebody decided to twist the corners. The only way to get it back to normal was to take it apart and put it back together again! Thanks for the help.

You saved me today. I bought a Rubik's cube for my son's friend and then offered to adjust the tension for him. I took all the centre caps not realising they had a specific place (oops).
So I followed a guide on how to put them in the right place and this seemed to work, It matched the product photo and instructions image. But all apps I tried said it was unsolvable. I was a bit scared to take it apart but this video made it very clear. Thank you. You made a grown man very relieved and a young lad very happy.

I was solving one of my old cubes that I had, and I found a parity, on a 3x3, and on top of that one pair of corner were swapped. This video helped me a lot and I was able to fix the cube!
