I'm excited to release 12 new MIDI Generators and Transformers for Ableton Live! Use these to work quickly and creatively in Live and generate MIDI that would be nearly impossible to create manually. I love to use these to quickly generate ideas and then create variations on those ideas.

00:00 Introduction
01:50 Phase Pattern
09:14 Blocks
10:25 Divs
15:14 Polyrhythm
23:10 Pattern Transform
29:04 Condition Transform
32:06 Segment
36:31 Turing Machine

To use the discount code: make sure you scroll all the way to the bottom of the checkout window. It’s in a weird spot below the devices, which is a long way down for the bundle.

Been having so so so much fun with them so far. Recommending to everyone

This "hug mode" for notes distribution on the Polyrhythm device is pure bliss! Loved it!

Philip, I superbly admire the craftmanship you put into showing your new devices (great timing with Ableton v12 release) and explaining how each works. What an elegant approach to the UI layouts, too. Phase Pattern looks like it's gonna solve some "bouncing ball" and "gravity ramp" scenarios better and faster than prior tools by seeing the MIDI notes change in realtime, so I just got it to play with. Thank you for building and innovating!

Very cool! Excited to play around with these. I started an exponential rhythm generator before seeing this and now feel the need to step my game up haha

How did I not know about Philip Meyer before NOW?! These Ableton 12 devices are absolutely creative genius. I just started experimenting with them and I am blown away at the ideas they are helping me put together. -> THANK YOU Philip. :) Can't wait to see what more you develop going forward.

Stumbled upon gold here. Great builds.

amazing work! the multi-track functionality of polyrhythm, in particular, is how i originally imagined the bundled euclidian generator would work.

Pretty sick there exist alternative generators, it makes Ableton even more fun than it already is.
Ordered Polyrhythm, Divs and Bloks
Really excited to see if i can implement it longtime in my workflow :)

Just bought them, they're great!

Also while experimenting with them I had an idea for a possible new transformer: one that scales/stretches/warps midi on the vertical axis. So sort of like the standard Ableton midi warp but on the vertical axis, maybe even with different algorithms for where the notes go exactly (linear, exponential), and maybe to the point where it starts inverting/mirroring the notes on the vertical axis. The new midi capabilities and your devices make me look at midi differently, almost like clay that can be kneaded into any shape, so it seems like this vertical stretching thing should be possible too :) (BTW maybe something like this already exists and/or can already be done with one of your tools, I'm just getting into Live 12 :))

brilliant. i mess with tuning and rhythm all the time and all these new things in 12 are a godsend

Hi Philip! I've had this idea before Live 12. I could probably build it myself, but I think you'd do it better/faster. The goal is to modify notes' velocity based off of their pitch according to an XY graph. X is pitch of existing notes and Y being the modifying factor on velocity (so middle of Y axis is no change for respective pitch and lower on Y reduces velocity toward 0 and higher on Y increases toward 127).

This is really musically useful. Say you have a chord stack on an orchestral patch. This device would let you quickly dial in the voicing, perhaps making the bass notes louder than the high notes, vice versa, or any other velocity distribution you want. I do this all the time and there's no device for it.

Hi and thanks philipp this is truly amazing, helping in both domain ; time saving and creative stuff ! I could say that one thing that could be great would be to replace the quantize button with a fader or a 0 to 100% type stuff, so you could be more in the middle between totally on the grid or totally off it ! have a good day and keep going
