Satan wasn't an evil being. Satan is a job position. Enlil was the Satan of the Eden. He was in charge of the Eden and the training of the first humans in preparation for them to go into the mines to mine the gold. Samyaza was a lesser Anunnaki who was in charge of 200 others.
