I have the Sony ultras and they are amazing. Highly recommend if you're a bass lover like me

Both sound a bit dark and muffled, but the ULT also has no sound stage and an extreme roll off in the high frequencies

as my ears level isn't audiophile, i choose Ult although I cannot hear the big difference from XM-4 or XM-5 in the bass like Sony advertised. otherwise, the price is lower than both of it 🤣

ULT has more bass even on Ult=Off setting. With a touch of a button real fun begins ;) Ult=1 is unique experience for watching movies. Or if someone likes very deep and overwhelming bass. Both these Sony headphones sound dark. Surprisingly XM4 sound was more muddy when I tried them. But maybe I am just used to clear and bright sound of Bose.
Comfort in them really depends on the user. XM4 has much nicer materials, so it is a pleasure on first touch. But ULT has more spacious earcups, and less clamping force, so in the long run they may prove more comfy.

Los agudos en los ULT WEAR a volumen alto empiezan a molestar pero qué diferencia en los XM4, el sonido más claro, más nítido, más limpio y no se pierden los medios y agudos con los graves tan fuertes. 😊 Iba por los ULT porque son más baratos pero prefiero ahorrar más para comprar los XM4 ❤

I'm listening with Sony ult sounds more bass than xm4

i know im 9 months late, but I think that the xm4s sound more better and they have more sound in the mids and highs. Also ULT WEARs are mainly about bass so it has to sacrifice some sound for more bass.

To my ears the sound of the ult is good, but I wouldn't buy it, I'd rather use the tws which is compact and easy to carry.
