I relate to all the Growing up I have had many toxic friends and family members who have gaslighted me and used my kindness for granted. I have now realized after all these years that whom you give your trust to matters greatly. Trust has more value than money because you are sharing an intimate, soft and vulnerable part of yourself with others. It's beyond infuriating when you finally say no to people you've done so much for, but then they get pissed at you and have the audacity to call you selfish or greedy. I went way more years than I'd like to admit sacrificing myself financially, emotionally and physically for people who could give two shits about me. It's tough being a kind person in this world. I'm glad I finally started to have moments of clarity and realize these people don't deserve my kindness. It's good to be kind and help people, but only for those who truly appreciate it and don't just want you around for their own personal gains.

I've given up all my "friends" after nearly 50 years. They all had these traits. I was just so sick of being used. I've unfortunately become a recluse because I'm so susceptible to people like this. I live with my pets now. Nothing to worry about with pets. They all have a pure heart ❤
