I think there are something like 250, 000 women in the military. They believe in our country and fight for it if needed. Let them serve.

Women have served in the US Military since the revolution.

I served male and female wounded soldiers as an ICU nursing officer during my combat deployments. It is critical to defending the fighting force. I agree with Gen Milley.

Our late friend Tammy was the first female black Marine in her part of the world...I only met her a few times but her quiet strength, love for the service, and sense of purpose really impressed me.

I can’t believe we are having this conversation in 2024.

If he can say no women in combat and go in a fire all women, how long until they say women can’t be in other industries. I’ve heard men in my own company say women shouldn’t be in real estate. They start with combat but that’s not the end of their thinking.

It’s always people that never served that have an opinion on this. I have a lot of women on my submarine and they make us a better team.

Thank you for standing up for women, and thank you for not going to Mar Lago.

2 of my sisters were nurses in the Navy. My brother was in the Air Force. I was in the Navy, my husband was on the Nimitz when it was bombed. He was also a nurse. My father was in the Army and served in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. People who have not served haven't a clue. Man or woman - there's a place for you in the military.

Blacks in the military? My first company commander in basic training was a Black lieutenant in 1978. My last company commander in 1986, was a female Black captain (she was very popular because she sorta acted like a Master Sergeant in terms of her commitment to protecting her troops).

I would have followed her into combat if asked. Women were not in combat roles back then, but Captain Jones was worthy to lead her soldiers in combat.

Every organization becomes better and stronger when men and women work together. Fact.

This is just another area they want to control women over. It's always been about control.

As an Army combat veteran, I choose a woman and/or any 🏳️‍🌈, to a punk complaining of bone spurs.

I love when rational persons speak about the defense of this country and General Milley is such a person, not Donald J. Trump.

I served, my son served. I have been encouraging my grandson to do ROTC in college. I am not so sure that was a good idea now. My grandson will not follow unlawful orders. I fear he might be court martial in the future. My granddaughter wants to be an FBI agent, I find it hard to encourage her, knowing what may happen in the future.
As far as women shooters go my daughters can shoot better than me and my son.

I listen to General Milley anyday over Major BoneSpurs.

Milley will go down as one of the greatest defenders of the constitution! Hopefully he will be an inspiration to those that honor it and our country (what’s left of it)!

In 1977 I wanted to join the military so bad, my parents wouldn't allow it because I am a female. I look back and wonder how my life would be different, I would have a pension, and a career I would have been proud of. Thank you Gen Milley for standing up for women.

In WWII the Russian women were by far the most successful snipers in the world! One Russian woman who's husband was killed by the Nasi's went on a tear and became one of the most fearless and successful tank commanders in WWII history. It doesn't require great strength or machismo to aim and pull a trigger. We have excellent female fighter and bomber pilots but the future is remote drone warfare piloted from a cubicle in a safe area.
