Don't you lecture me with your 30 dollar haircut (original)

this scene is from the movie Dragon Ball Z: Super Android 13

This is the best Dragon Ball scene ever written

The part where it says "original" is literally right infront of you. Nothing in the title implies that it is "original" that it won't have sound effects. I added the effects if I wanna avoid the slightest bit of copyright. Nonetheless, this still technically is considered "original" as it literally shows that the phrase came from Dragon Ball Z, which is where it came from. Originally.

"I was programmed to kill your ass" is a crazy line lmao

the dubbers actually invented an entire personality for him based on the fact that he's wearing a meshback cap. Legendary.

Trunks never once disputed the price of his haircut.

This line was outrageous enough on its own that I was willing to believe that the vine booms were part of the dub too.

the fact that he called out his hair after hitting him with deep philosophy about free will is just savage.

Imagine the whiplash I had when I legit heard him straight up say "kill your ass". Had to make sure this wasn't the Abridged series

I love that the dub writers had to know that Zeni was the official currency in Dragon Ball but they couldn't resist using that $30 haircut line, and I honestly can't blame them

His mention of his “30 dollar haircut” is also a continuation of him mocking the choices humans make with free will. Fucking hell.

#13 really hit Trunks with the ol' "I'd rather be a soulless machine than have your yee yee ass hairdo."

To this day, I have no idea whether he's calling his haircut cheap or needlessly expensive.

For clarity: $30 in 1992 is equal to $58.66 today. Which is about three times the cost of a cut at SuperCuts.

I legit can't believe this isn't from DBZ Abridged

"War, segregation, hatred, is that what you've done with your free will boy?"
No no.. he's got a point.

Considering inflation and the fact that Trunks is from the future, he probably had no clue why a $30 haircut would be abnormal.
