UBER EATS DRIVER - How to Turn Off App Overlay📲 (See Orders Manually!)

One of those annoying things on the Uber Driver app is how orders/offers/rides take over your entire phone and the offer pops up blocking your phone and not showing the map. I'll show you how to turn off the in-app overlay on the Uber Eats Driver App in this video. Doing this will reduce your chances of accidently accepting orders and allowing you to manually see your offers with the map! This is on an Android device and may be similar with iOS platforms as well.

Yes. I also have been doing the same thing. And around February or March 2022 this annoying function was taken away totally by Uber. But this April it came back again. This is crazy! We need sign a Petition to Uber to terminate this annoying thing!

They FORCE you to keep the setting for overlay, otherwise you can't toggle online! They recently changed this setting after an update. Was using it way more when I could use my phone for other purposes.

I’m OK with accepting the offer overlap because it does keep me busy but I will say when it’s sending you a bad request I don’t really get to see the full information like I would a new request.

Also I wanted to play around with this couple of days Where I didn’t just auto accept just to see if I’m gonna make the same or more or less.

AND…. I cannot stand that when you auto accept back-to-back request you cannot see your earnings!

There are times when I want to see what I’ve made so far so I can decide if I’m gonna also take Uber rides or switch over to DoorDash

Thank you so much, I subscribed to your channel recently, from now and then I try to watch every video you post, I want to ask you about an issue with uber eats app if you have any thoughts or recommendations, in my market after Uber eats app added the expected tip included feature then I start having so many issues with the app from crashing to freezing to the navigation not working after I accept the request but the most issue I'm having and it is driving me crazy is that I feel uber etas app always signs me out even If I do decline request or not sometimes if I decline one request I feel that the app signs me out, on the app screen it shows me Iam online and finding trips and it will go for half an hour or more without getting any requests until I force stop the app or log out and log in back again to start getting requests, and sometimes the app send me a message that if I want to stay offline or go online and I go crazy bc the app shows me Iam online, so basically Iam online on the screen but in the background of the app Iam offline, I have tried all the steps and tips from uber support and from other drivers to solve this issues but no luck at all, and these days honestly mostly after I finish or decline or every five minutes of showing Iam online I force stop the app or log out and log in back again I do this every day more that 50 times !! just to make sure Iam online for sure .any thoughts?

Very annoying when multi apping bc I go offline for UE when I get a DoorDash order but then when I'm done and need to log back into UE, I have to do this process every time. Very tedious

I was trying this the last two nights and the map still doesn't show. In fact, even when UE is on top, the offer window is 2/3 the size of the screen with NO map. I'm getting no map either way. Any suggestions?

Uber could solve this by just showing the map every time in the overlay. I hate the app because of this.

I have 2 phones. Samsung s20Fe and moto g play 2021. I use Uber driver app on both 1 at a time. I notice on my fe I have to do this. On the moto g play it's off by default and the Uber driver app doesn't ask me to turn it on.
