A new course is coming, that’s very exciting!

I feel like I became a lot better after going through the kitchen chaos course, to the point where i started criticising other youtuber’s code when watching their videos, like what didn’t use this pattern here or that should be made into an interface, or stuff like that. So, yeah, you’re videos are definitely helping a lot.

Happy new year!
Looking forward for what you’ll be making in 2025.

The "How to make an x game" were definitely my favorites. A lot of times just breaking down a game into what the systems are can really help with figuring out the right questions to ask.

Thanks for your work, man! I was trying to use your Kitchen Chaos as a learning curve basis and build upon it, but I had to drop it for a personal matter. I will definitely pick up again your courses next year!

More 100 seconds vids on specific aspects would be great! May I suggest listeners as a subject? :)

Hello Codemonkey,

I've been a professional programmer for many years, but I've only been involved in game development privately since this year. Your videos, tutorials and your GameDev newsletter help me a lot. I just wanted to thank you for that.

My goal for 2025 is to get to the definition of my character by drawing almost every day to get to have a prototype of at least 15/20 minutes. Happy 2025 to everyone and thank you for all your video

can you share some knowledge (perhaps make a video of it) on how you make your homepage, from which service you use and cost, to the features that you implemented.

Hey code monkey, I've been following you for a long time now. I wanted to ask you something about updates devs make to their games. When I first started learning game dev I created a simple game and published it on google play store. However, when I wanted to update a single line of code or fix something, I'd rebuild and I'd have to re-upload the entire apk again to google play store which would result in re-downloading the entire game even if I changed just one line of code. I searched this, and I guess we have to structure our development in a way so that it is modular and will enable us to only upload the 'patches' or 'difference'. How does that work because no game dev tutorial I've seen even touches on that topic. Also how does this work on Steam? Do we have to do (or integrate) something (maybe like a launcher we see in big titles like PUBG, when you first boot the game you see a loading screen where maybe updates are located on a remote server and downloaded through that launcher and difference or patch is applied) manually (when developing) to the game or Steam takes care of it and only distributes the difference instead of the whole game?

Are you thinking about switching to another game engine, such as Unreal engine in the future ?

Hi. I have made your Kitchen Chaos Game in Unreal Engine 5. Since it is a clone game of your unity tutorial can i add it to my portfolio as a showcase of my work or will i get a copyright? Hope you reply asap! You can also contact me if you want to see the game i made in unreal engine! Thanks
